Experience the Power of Live Music
Remembering the audience's unforgettable musical moments
We Are The Lucky Ones is a registered 501c3 charitable organization. Our mission is to bring the fan experience to the forefront of noteworthy live music events. Our purpose is to amplify joy at live music events by capturing fans' stories and fostering community!
What a time to be alive... All over the country, bands are performing live concerts with amplified music and impressive lighting designs. Musicians are creating extraordinary experiences for music lovers. We feel so lucky!
Typically, the documentation of concerts revolves solely around the band - their music, photos, interviews, etc. We wanted to change that, and thus created an organization focused on the fan experience.
“Musicians from the beginning of time have been there to express the mood and the musical feelings in the air for whatever’s going on in that particular culture. It’s the greatest joy as a musician to be able to translate that, be part of something and watch the scenery around you.”
Trey Anastasio:
How do we capture the fan experience?
Concert Recaps
Board members and interns generate show recaps, capturing the fan experience and recreating the concert through written word. These include fun stats, associated emotions and feelings, and details about what it was like to be there.
Onsite Fan Interviews
Find us at your next concert and tell us about your experience with the band and why YOU love live music! Help us attend more shows by donating or becoming a sponsor.
Video Podcasts
Every music lover can relate to the wonderful comradery that takes place when friends gather to share stories, fun memories, and laugh together. Our video podcasts recreate those moments as we gather groups of fans and discuss a particular topic.
Unpaid Internships
We are always looking for your insights into shows you've attended. We want to collaborate with all fans, so if you're interested in becoming an "intern" please reach out!

“I’m honored to be part of what We Are The Lucky Ones is creating because I believe a life shaped by the connection of community is a life well lived. In a world that increasingly pushes us toward isolation & erodes the support systems only strong communities can create, choosing joy & connection matters. By creating a space to showcase that joy - We Are The Lucky Ones can open that door for others who might not have taken the chance otherwise to step in.”

“Live music is my greatest passion. I feel the most grounded, most authentic, and most vibrant at shows. Highlighting and showcasing the fan experience has been the wind under my wings this last year, and I cannot wait to see how far and how high we fly, as we continue prioritizing documenting and enhancing the amazing people who make live music so extraordinary.”
Meet the founders:
Jeffrey and Dannie had what seemed like a wild idea - amplifying joy at live music events by encapsulating stories from the fans and fostering community. With decades of live music obsession between them, they realized that what it feels like to be a fan is rarely captured. Without the audience, shows wouldn't feel the same. With an effort to historically memorialize what it's like being a fan in this day and age (the Golden Age!), they started We Are The Lucky Ones, which quickly grew into what it is now!
